About

Hi, I’m Mike Fischer, and The Last Pixel is my blog about technology and software development. I’ve been developing software since childhood (far too long ago!), and publishing my personal web site since May 19, 1993. I was a primary developer of Amiga Mosaic, the first web browser for the Commodore Amiga, and have contributed to several Open Source projects over the past 20 years.

Today I lead an Engineering and Operations organization at a major U.S. telecommunications company, but my evenings and weekends are spent hacking code for personal projects and volunteer organizations. Most of my current efforts involve Ruby on Rails and Javascript, having spent many years on C, Perl, and PHP programming in the past.
